The actor is gearing up for her big Bollywood break opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Kangana Ranaut's maiden production venture, Tiku Weds Sheru
Making her debut as a child artist, Avneet Kaur is a much-loved face for her cute onscreen presence in TV shows and Hindi films.
Now, she is all set to make her debut as a female protagonist in Tiku Weds Sheru. She opened up to OTTplay about how shooting the film and working with two celebrated actors like Kangana Ranaut and Nawazuddin Siddiqui helped her learn extensively about the craft of acting.
Quite overwhelmed and excited, Avneet, who calls herself a fan of Kangana, said, "There were a lot of workshops with Kangana ma'am and Nawaz sir before the actual shooting started. I also had to gain a little weight to look the part. I watched a lot of films and did a lot of rehearsals with ma'am, which not only made me feel comfortable on set around both of them (Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kangana Ranaut) but also helped with my acting. Rehearsing with her (Kangana) and picking up her acting skills through the process was very helpful. I am her fan, and I have watched all her films. I loved her acting and admire the fact that she is effortless. I was nervous initially, but they both made me feel very comfortable."
When she was asked which scene was the toughest one for her to enact, the young actress said, "I really want everyone to watch the film to find out, but I have to say that every scene was very challenging for me. Tiku is a very interesting character, and there are a lot of emotional layers to her, so we had to work very hard. Having said that, I also had a lot of fun times on the set."
Tiku Weds Sheru also stars Zakir Hussain, Vipin Sharma, and Suresh Vishwakarma. It will be available to stream on June 23 on Amazon Prime Video.
