Tiger Shroff is starring alongside Akshay Kumar in the much-anticipated action flick Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (directed by Ali Abbas Zafar) and the project requires the former to be committed for quite some time.
Things have surely been tricky for the Hindi Film Industry of late and the year so far has been no different. The first half of 2022 has encountered several blips along the way with the most bankable and top-billed stars too faring poorly at the box office.
In the same vein, young actor Tiger Shroff, who has created a veritable niche for himself as a bona fide action star, had to endure a failure in the form of Heropanti 2 earlier this year. The actor still boasts of multiple big-league offers and one such is the Shashank Khaitan film Screw Dheela which is being produced by Karan Johar and also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Recently, only days after the official announcement of the project, reports emerged that the project has been shelved due to reasons unknown.
However, the latest online reports have now quashed these rumours and revealed that the project is still on the cards but will go on floors only in 2023 due to scheduling conflicts. Tiger Shroff is starring alongside Akshay Kumar in the much-anticipated action flick Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (directed by Ali Abbas Zafar) and the project requires the former to be committed for quite some time.
As a result, the team of Screw Dheela is said to be looking at an entirely new schedule to make room for Tiger’s other projects.
The rumours related to Screw Dheela being shelved began to gain traction due to supposed budget issues as the high-octane action film demanded close to Rs. 150 crores (reportedly). The film’s maiden teaser, which was released exactly a month ago on July 23, failed to garner the intended response, thus causing many to believe that the project was in jeopardy. However, sources close to the film have now shared that the film is still very much in the offing, albeit with a delay.
Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan too has been a subject of similar speculations. Recent reports revealed that the two lead actors and the director himself were forced to slash their respective remunerations after the project went out of bounds concerning the budget. The film is back on its feet, however, and will go on floors at the earliest.
