The film, written and directed by Vamsee, will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages
Ravi Teja, whose last project Khiladi had a simultaneous release in Telugu and Hindi languages, will be embarking on a new chapter in his life with Tiger Nageswara Rao. The ambitious film will be the first pan-Indian release for the star, set to hit screens across five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Vamsee, who helmed films like Dongaata, Kittu Unnadu Jagratha in the past, is the writer and director of Tiger Nageswara Rao. The actioner is produced by Abhishek Agarwal under Abhishek Agarwal Arts, who shot to fame with his first Hindi production The Kashmir Files recently.
Reportedly, Tiger Nageswara Rao will be the most expensive film in Ravi Teja's career. The film, which was officially announced last year, will be formally launched with a pooja ceremony on April 2, the Ugadi festival day, at Novatel, HICC, Madhapur in Hyderabad amidst the cast and crew. On the same day, Tiger Nageswara Rao's pre-look will also be launched at 12:06 PM. Producer Abhishek Agarwal calls it a dream project and hopes to continue his victorious run after the monstrous success of The Kashmir Files.
For the uninitated, Tiger Nageswara Rao is a period film, set in the 1970s and is based on a real-life notorious thief from Stuartpuram in Andhra Pradesh. Ravi Teja is set to undergo a massive makeover for the huge-scale project, be it terms of his look, body language or diction. The director has finalised the film's script already and the makers opine that the life story of ‘Tiger’ Nageswara Rao is apt for the big screen and are confident that a mass star like Ravi Teja is the best choice for the same.
Several high-voltage action sequences will be shot for the film which has an impressive technical crew as well. R Madhie is the cinematographer of the film while Avinash Kolla handles production design. Srikanth Vissa, also the writer for Ravi Teja's Ravanasura, is penning the dialogues for Tiger Nageswara Rao. GV Prakash is composing the music with Mayank Singhaniya serving as a co-producer. Tej Narayan Agarwal is the presenter. Other details about the cast and crew will be revealed shortly.
