Tiger 3 is the third instalment in the Tiger franchise. Salman Khan's highly anticipated movie crosses Rs 250 crore in India and surpassed Rs 400 crore globally.
Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi and directed by Maneesh Sharma broke previous records of Tiger franchise. Yash Raj Films (YRF) posted a new picture on Instagram on Wednesday, marking the film's global entry into the ₹400 crore club.
YRF shared a new poster on social media accounts. The text on the poster read, “The highest grossing Diwali release in history [Indian languages] 10 days. ₹400.50 crore ($48.25 m) worldwide gross. India ₹298 cr GBOC ( ₹244.80 cr NBOC), overseas ₹102.50 cr GBOC ($ 12.30 m).”
As of right now, the action-thriller has earned Rs 244 crore in India; it will likely surpass Rs 250 crore today. Although this is a noteworthy accomplishment—especially for Salman, who hasn't had a blockbuster since 2017's Tiger Zinda Hai—it is important to consider the film's excessive budget. Tiger 3 will be lucky to cross the Rs 500 crore global milestone by the end of its theatrical run, given that its production cost was approximately Rs 300 crore. Globally, the film has crossed the Rs 400 crore mark.
Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan, the other entries in YRF's Spy Universe, are still ahead of it even though it has surpassed the original Tiger film's lifetime gross of Rs 335 crore.
The movie took a nosedive in two days after earning Rs 44 crore on its first day of release, which coincidentally was also Diwali and a Sunday. By day five, daily collections had fallen below Rs 20 crore, and by day nine, they had fallen below Rs 10 crore.
