Lin-Manuel Miranda’s feature directorial debut is based on the autobiographical musical of the same name by Jonathan Larson.
For Lin-Manuel Miranda fans, the steady tick tick tick of a clock has never felt like this musical. The multi-talented actor-musician is all set to release his feature directorial debut, Tick, Tick… BOOM! the latest trailer of which was dropped by Netflix recently.
The upcoming film is based on Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical musical of the same name and stars Andrew Garfield in the lead. The trailer takes the viewers through the story of a young Larson, working a thankless job at a restaurant, hitting close to 30 and seemingly far away from achieving his dreams of being a musical composer.

After years of trudging, he starts to feel the time slip away and doubts if he really is giving it all to achieve his dream.
With some catchy musical numbers and an endearing Garfield emulating the late composer, the upcoming film signals an entertaining watch for any music lover. The first single from the movie’s soundtrack called 30/90 has also been released.
American composer Jonathan Larson is most famous as the mind behind the musicals Rent and Tick, Tick... Boom!. Although his works became Broadway hits, the artist was unable to witness the success of his composition and passed away in 1996 at the age of 35.
In addition to Garfield, Tick, Tick… BOOM! also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexandra Shipp, Robin de Jesús and Judith Light in lead roles. Written by Tony Award winner Steven Levenson, the upcoming musical drama will be released in US theatres first and will then be available for streaming on Netflix from November 19.
