It looks like there's just no stopping Ajith's Thunivu trailer. The trailer, which was released on December 31 as a New Year special has now romped past 50 million views. Needless to say, Ajith fans are on cloud nine. The trailer shows Ajith as a robber who is all set to swindle a bank and has the staff at gunpoint. In the meantime, the police force is waiting to take him down outside the premises. Ajith looks all stylish and dapper in a white shirt and is seen sporting a beard and cool sunglasses. He also doles out some heavy-duty punch dialogues, like one should never mess with a sly person like him and that he is the hero. The trailer also shows the film's leading lady Manju Warrier, too, shooting with gusto.

In the meantime, the film is gearing up to hit screens on January 11. Thunivu is a heist thriller, directed by H Vinoth and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. The film has Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Veera, GM Sundar as part of the star cast. Music is by Ghibran. The Telugu version of the first single Chilla Chilla was released recently and has gone on to become a chartbuster. The other songs include Kasethan Kadavulada and Gangsta. The film has been censored with U/A certificate and is being distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.

While Thunivu is Manju Warrier's maiden collaboration with Ajith, this is Ajith's third venture with director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor, after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Thunivu will now be released in Telugu as Tegimpu and the Telugu trailer, too, was released recently

Thunivu is all set to take on Vijay's Varisu and both films will clash at the box office on January 11. The releases are also billed as the clashes of the year.
