We had earlier reported that actor Silambarasan has joined the star-studded cast of upcoming film Thug Life. Now the makers of the Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam project shared an update recently. Silambarasan has begun dubbing for the film, the makers announced recently. In addition, we have also heard that the film is a hyperlink narrative.

Thug Life is an upcoming film, written and directed by filmmaker Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The film is in production currently. The makers recently announced that Silambarasan who is playing an important role in the film has begun dubbing for his portions.
It is to be noted that Silambarasan's casting occurred mid-way into the making of Thug Life. The cast was first announced with actors Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi. However, after both the actors had to step out of the projects, Silambarasan and Ashok Selvan were cast in the film. Recently, the makers unveiled the look of Silambarasan’s character, while an official announcement on Ashok Selvan’s involvement is yet to be made. Apart from them, the film also stars Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, Abhirami, Nasser and Hindi actor Ali Fazal. among the others.
Thug Life is expected to be an action film which will have hyperlink screenplay with multiple threads culminating at one point. Thug Life is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies banners. AR Rahman is scoring the music for the film. The team has filmed in locales including Serbia, New Delhi, Rajasthan, and Puducherry. A release date for Thug Life is yet to be announced. However it is expected to hit theatres sometime in 2025.
