Thudarum teaser update: Mohanlal, Tharun Moorthy’s big plans revealed

Thudarum, the Mohanlal starrer directed by Tharun Moorthy, is reportedly set to hit the big screens on January 30, 2025. The Thudarum teaser is gearing up for its grand release soon.

Thudarum, the highly anticipated Malayalam film marks Mohanlal’s first collaboration with talented director, Tharun Moorthy. The movie, touted to be a family entertainer, has been garnering the attention of audiences with its promising promotional videos, posters, and location still, that were released recently. Even though the Thudarum teaser completed its censorship recently, the makers are reportedly planning to put the release on hold until the pre-release deals get closed.

Thudarum teaser delayed due to THIS reason?

As per the latest updates, the Thudarum teaser has already committed the censor board formalities, and bagged a clean ‘U’ certificate. The teaser, which reportedly has a duration of 38 minutes, is however put on hold due to technical reasons. If the reports are to be believed, director Tharun Moorthy and his team are planning to drop the official teaser of Mohanlal’s film, only after it completes its pre-release deals. However, it is safe to assume that Thudarum teaser will have its release, in a couple of days.

For the uninitiated, Mohanlal is all set to play the role of Shanmugham, a small-town-based taxi driver who shares a rare emotional bond with his car, in Thudarum. The Malayalam superstar is reuniting with Shobana, the veteran actress after a long gap of 11 years, for the Tharun Moorthy directorial. The Manichithrathazhu actress is reportedly playing the role of Shanmugham’s wife in the highly anticipated movie, which is scripted by Sunil KR.

Along with Mohanlal and Shobana, Thudarum features a massive star cast, including Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, Nandu, Irshad Ali, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Thomas Mathew, Krishna Prabhas, Prakash Varma, and others in supporting roles. Jakes Bejoy composed the songs and the original score. Shaji Kumar is the director of photography. Nishadh Yusuf and Shafeeque VB handles the editing. The film is produced by Rejaputhra Renjith under the banner, Rejaputhra Visual Media, and distributed by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas.
