Mohanlal is set to share the screen with his most loved onscreen pair, Shobana, in Thudarum. The upcoming Tharun Moorthy directorial, which features the legendary superstar and veteran actress in the lead role, is touted to be a family drama. The reunion of the iconic duo has left both their fans and those who grew up watching Malayalam films, highly excited. A recent location still of Shobana and Mohanlal, from the sets of Thudarum, is now winning the internet.

The veteran actress, who clearly had a great time on the sets of Thudarum with her longtime friend and co-star Mohanlal, recently took to her official social media handles and shared a special click with the actor. “Sharing a moment with the maestro! gup shup about Satvika Bhavam… sharing the visuals of his theatre work,” Shobana captioned her Instagram post.

The iconic pair’s new click has left the netizens highly excited. “You can't find a better promotional content for #Thudarum... The most lovable pair,” wrote a fan boy on his X (formerly Twitter handle). “All time Best Pair in Mollywood...!” reads a fan post.

All about Thudarum

As reported earlier, Mohanlal is set to play Shanmugham, a small-town-based taxi driver who shares a rare emotional bond with his car, in Thudarum. The Malayalam superstar is reuniting with Shobana after a long gap of 11 years, for the Tharun Moorthy directorial. The Manichithrathazhu actress is reportedly playing the role of Shanmugham’s wife in the movie, which is scripted by Sunil KR.

Thudarum features a massive star cast including Maniyanpilla Raju, Farhaan Faasil, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Binu Pappu, and others in the supporting roles. Jakes Bejoy is composing the songs and original score. Shaji Kumar handles the cinematography. L360 is bankrolled by M Renjith, under the popular banner Rejaputhra Films. The movie, which is distributed by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas, is expected to hit the big screens on January 30, 2024.
