Mohanlal and Tharun Moorthy's upcoming film, titled Thudarum, has garnered much attention ever since the project's announcement. One of the main reasons that fans are awaiting to see the film on the big screen is that it reunites the iconic and much-loved pairing of Mohanlal and Shobana. And now Mohanlal himself has shared the second-look poster of the upcoming film, featuring himself and the leading lady Shobana
A while ago, Mohanlal took to his social media media handles and shared a poster of Thudarum. In the poster that exudes an old-world charm, Mohanlal and Shobana are captured during tea time at what appears to be their home. Shobana is dressed in a simple saree, while Mohanlal too looks like a typical Malayalee. Though we are not informed about the time period the movie is set in, the poster definitely evokes the 90s nostalgia. The film is touted to be a family drama.
The superstar captioned the poster, 'Some stories are meant to continue... Presenting Thudarum'

Thudarum, which is Mohanlal’s 360th film, is likely to hit the theatres on January 30, 2025. Binu Pappu, Nandhu, Maniyanpilla Raju, Farhaan Faasil, and Irshad Ali, among others, are part of the cast.
Mohanlal and Shobana were last seen together in Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded in 2009 and fans are eagerly awaiting to see their beloved stars reunite on screen.
This is also Mohanlal’s first collaboration with Tharun Moorthy who has delivered two acclaimed films since his debut as a director in 2021, adding to the hype.
Tharun Moorthy's debut film Operation Java, which starred Balu Varghese, Lukman Avaran, and Binu Pappu, was much appreciated by the audiences. He followed it up with the acclaimed Saudi Vellakka, which was adjudged the Best Malayalam film in the 70th National Film Awards.
On the other hand, Mohanlal’s much-anticipated directorial debut Barroz, a fantasy children’s film, will hit the theatres on December 25, 2024.
