Underrated films and shows of 2023

After what felt like the time had come to a halt, the world had come to a standstill, and life paused while the problems only kept multiplying, all of us, in some way or another, entered 2023 like we were about to live a completely new life. Having spent almost three years with a pandemic in multiple lockdowns, it felt like 2023 was the year to breathe and heal. The same was true for Indian cinema, which tried and bounced back massively. While the Pathaan, Jawan, and Tiger got to roar, there were also heartfelt stories that didn’t just make us shed a tear or two but also celebrate life again.

Cinema was breathing again, and there was room for everyone. While Ranveer Singh as Rocky introduced a new ‘man’ to cinema, Manoj Bajpayee taught us all a thing or two about blind belief. So in a year that was so warm and welcoming for films without segregation, there weren’t many that went unnoticed. Today we talk about some films and shows that were brilliant but the buzz wasn’t as intense as others.

They had an audience but not enough to appreciate the art that went into making them what they are. Read on and let us know in case we missed any. Even if the writer is a human, AI hasn’t replaced him yet.
