Bala is directing the untitled movie which might release this year,
At the launch of Suriya 41
The shooting of Suriya 41 went on floors recently in Kanyakumari. The untitled project brings together Bala and Suriya after Nandha and Pithamagan (both streaming on MX Player and YouTube). The film is being produced by the actor's 2D Entertainment. The makers had released a few working stills of the project on the day the shooting began.
Tollywood actress Krithi Shetty plays the female lead in the movie; it marks her second film in Tamil. Lingusamy's Ram-starrer The Warrior is her debut project in Kollywood. It marks Ram's entry, too, in Tamil cinema.
A few days before the production commenced, there was news that a house had been erected at a village in Kanyakumari district. The latest is that three houses are erected for shooting in which one of them will be seen as the home of the character played by Suriya in it.
A source says that all the three houses will be handed over to needy people in the village after the completion of shooting. Though it's heard that Suriya will be seen playing a fisherman in the film, an official news is awaited on the same.
GV Prakash, who played the protagonist in Bala's Naachiyaar, has been roped in to compose music for the movie. He was the music director for the filmmaker's Paradesi, too. An update on the film's other cast and crew details will be announced soon.
A few months ago, Suriya had posted a picture with Bala and his father Sivakumar and announced about the project. According to him, it was Bala who recognized his talent and he considers the director to be mentor. Suriya also added that Bala is someone who had always placed more confidence in him than he himself ever had.
