The film also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel.
One of the much-awaited films, Thor: Love and Thunder is all set to be released this Summer but reportedly, the film is now undergoing some reshoots. The other round of reshoots is for the scenes with Christian Bale who plays Gorr the God Butcher in the movie. The scenes, which are being reshot, are said to be some important sequences in the Marvel film.
According to media reports, the reshoots have begun last week after the additional photography ended earlier this year. However, there is no confirmation from the makers about how long will the reshoots take and if they have been completed already. The fans can only keep their fingers crossed and hope that it does not delay the film's release.
Kevin Feige had earlier talked about how reshoots are a part of Marvel movies and they are not done only because there are some issues in the movie. He said they are a key piece as it allows the studios to tweak whatever is required after the test screenings.
According to comicbook.com, he had said, "We always say we're smart filmmakers at Marvel, but we're not geniuses and the best way to give notes on a movie is to watch the movie. So we make the movie and go, 'Oh yeah, no that's not right. That doesn't work." He had added that they now have a better and more precise system and that reshoots can sometimes take a day or 15 days or even longer to make the best out of the movie.
Directed by Taika Waititi, who has also directed the earlier film, Thor: Ragnarok, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel. The screenplay for the film is written by Waititi and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
The film is expected to release in theatres on July 8.
