Thor 4 stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt and more
Thor: Love and Thunder, which is the fourth stand alone Thor movie, has fans excited for its release. Director Taika Waititi, who directed the fan-favourite Thor: Ragnarok, has now said that the latest movie will see Chris Hemsworth’s Avenger going through a midlife crisis.
“Thor is just trying to figure out his purpose, trying to figure out exactly who he is and why he’s a hero or whether he should be a hero. I guess you could call it a midlife crisis.” he said, speaking with AP.
While the filmmaker does not go into any details or let anything about the plot slip, this would mean that we will get to see a new side of the God of Thunder. The makers had released a teaser for the movie two weeks ago, which revealed Thor going through a patch in life trying to figure himself out.
Chris Hemsworth will return in the movie as one of the original Avengers, which would mean that Thor is the first MCU hero to get a fourth standalone title. The movie will also see him accompanied by many heroes, new and old.
The movie also features Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper.
The trailer reveals that Thor is still hanging out with The Guardians of the Galaxy as he was at the end of AVenger: Endgame. Some events cause him to reunite with his fellow Asgardians, which could help him realise who he is once more.
Thor: Love and Thunder, which is part of the ambitious Phase Four, is scheduled to hit theatres on July 8.
