The actress replaces mindless shopping with a more inclusive approach so that weavers are benefitted,
Paoli is known for her acting power and remarkable character choices. After her performance in Bulbbul as Binodini, she is back as Indrani Roy in the Ravi Adhikari-directed Disney+ Hotstar series Karm Yuddh. Along with Satish Kaushik, Ashutosh Rana, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and others, the actress gets into a drama major feud over a succession crisis within a wealthy family from Kolkata.
Meanwhile, the actress has also started preparing for Durga Puja – the biggest celebration in her hometown, Kolkata. According to her, Indrani’s character is, in a way, celebrating Ma Durga. “It is a coincidence that the series is dropped right at the beginning of Durga Puja. Through Indrani’s character, there is a celebration of Devi Durga’s power,’ the actress said.
Meanwhile, talking about Durga Puja and preparations, Paoli said that she has not bought any new dresses or saris for she is opting for a sustainable lifestyle. “I had a few gifts and I will wear them. These days, I am avoiding mindless shopping. I already have a lot and I am wearing those. I am trying to follow sustainable fashion,” she said.
The actress also mentioned that she wants to channelise her shopping pattern so that the weavers in India are benefitted. “I am avoiding shopping for the sake of shopping,” she said.
Paoli further added that while she has no plans, per se, she is glad that she will be in Kolkata. “I prefer to stay in Kolkata during the five days of Puja. There are inaugurations and I will almost complete my pandal hopping during that time. I like the festive vibe around,” she added.
