Shashank Arora appeared in the late Irrfan Khan's last film, The Song of Scorpions, alongside Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani
The majority of the young actors Irrfan Khan collaborated with during his final acting run were his fans who grew up and found inspiration in his films. Actor Shashank Arora is one such lucky talent who shared his list of favourite Irrfan Khan films and the reason behind having a bias towards The Song of Scorpions.
Talking about his favourite Irrfan Khan film, Shashank told OTTplay, "Oh, there are so many films I have to name. I think I loved Irrfan Khan in almost every film that he did, whether it was Paan Singh Tomar, Lunchbox, his first short film with Nawaz sir called The Bypass, or his performance in the film Karwaan...so lovely! So many of his performances affected me as an audience, but I loved him in The Song of Scorpions even more because, firstly, I had the pleasure of working with him, and then I also got to witness his process of acting."
"I felt very confident seeing his process because I realised that I am also on the right path. He was kind enough to appreciate me, and I am so touched by getting so much warmth and acceptance when I was working with him; perhaps that's a reason this is my favourite film of Irrfan sir," mentioned the actor known for his earlier award-winning films like Titli, Lipstick Under My Burkha, and Moothon, to name a few.
Directed by Anup Singh, the film The Song of Scorpions is running in theatres.
