Dhanush and Nithya Menen's hit film, Thiruchitrambalam (2022), which set the box office on fire, has just dropped on Prime Video. The platform today announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of the romantic comedy.

Thiruchitrambalam on Prime Video
The film is exclusively streaming in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide from October 6. Along with the Tamil version, the dubbed versions in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi are also available on the platform. The film, written and directed by Mithran Jawahar features Dhanush and Nithya Menen, in the lead, along with Raashi Khanna, Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles. The feel-good film is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures.

What's Thiruchitrambalam about?
The film is a perfect blend of comedy, romance and emotions. Thiruchitrambalam is a heart-warming tale that follows the life of Pazham (Dhanush), a food delivery man who cheerfully navigates through the ups and downs of life. When it coomes to the matters of hear, Pazham doesn't have it easy and go through many breakups. Despite his struggles to get along with his father, a respected police officer, Pazham's pillar of support is his best friend and neighbour Shobana (Nithya Menen).

Highlights of Thiruchitrambalam
Dhanush shone yet again as a boy-next-door, but Nithya Menen as Shobana definitely took the cake. Even hardcore fans of Dhanush agreed that Nithya Menen dominated quite a few scenes. Apart from the earnest performances by Prakash and Bharathiraja, the film also had some fantastic music to its credit, courtesy Anirudh Ravichander. The songs, Megham Karukatha, Mayakkama, Thaai Kelavi became massive chartbusters.

Film opened to positive reviews
The film opened to good reviews from critics and audiences alike. OTTplay critic wrote, "It’s the trio of a measured Bharathiraja, an outstanding Nithya Menen and an unassuming Dhanush, who are the heart and soul of the film."
