Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran Jawahar, has Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar playing the lead
Dhanush and Anirudh Ravichander joined their fans to watch the FDFS of Thiruchitrambalam this morning at Rohini theatre in Chennai. While Dhanush was spotted with long hair and a thick beard, which is said to be his look in Arun Matheswaran's next, Anirudh, too, looked dapper in a black shirt. Though the FDFS was supposed to be at 4am, it was later cancelled for reasons unknown, leaving fans dejected. However, the sight of Dhanush and Anirudh at the theatre seem to have piqued their enthusiasm and fans were seen dancing in the theatre like tomorrow.
In the meantime, during the second show today, some of the fans seem to have become way too excited during the screening that they ended up tearing the big screen, thus causing huge loss to the theatre owner. The fans were said to have been dancing just next to the screen when they ended up damaging it. This has not gone well with many people, who stated that fans need to show restraint when it comes to celebrations.
Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran R Jawahar, has Dhanush, Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead. The supporting cast includes Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Munishkanth and Sriranjini. The film marks the comeback of the hit Dhanush and Anirudh combination after a long hiatus of six years. The songs Thaai Kelavi, Megham Karukkatha, Life of Pazham and Thenmozhi, have already become chartbusters.
While the cinematography is by Om Prakash, editing is by Prasanna GK. The film has been bankrolled by Sun Pictures. While the satellite rights have been acquired by Sun TV, the digital rights have been bagged by Sun NXT.
