Thiru Manickam OTT release: The Tamil film, starring Samuthirakani in the lead role, is all set to make its digital premiere on ZEE5 soon.

Thiru Manickam, starring Samuthirakani in the lead role, is all set to make its OTT premiere. The Tamil drama film, directed by Nandha Periyasamy will be available for streaming on ZEE5 from January 24, 2025. Here's everything you need to know about the film, which also features Ananya, Bharathiraja, and Nassar.

Samuthirakani’s Thiru Manickam OTT release

Thiru Manickam will be making its digital premiere on ZEE5 on January 24. The Tamil film will also be available in Kannada and Malayalam with English subtitles. Additionally, you can watch the film on OTTplay Premium too.

It was earlier reported that Thiru Manickam, which was released in theatres in December 2024, will be available for streaming on January 31. But the Twitter handle of ZEE5 Tamil announced on Tuesday that the film will be coming to the OTT platform sooner on January 24.

Thiru Manickam plot and cast

Samuthirakani plays the lead role of Manickam in the film. He lives along with his family, including his wife and two kids, along the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He sells lottery tickets through his shop for a living and is bogged down by several family responsibilities. The drama begins when a poor old man picks a lottery ticket from his shop with a promise to pay later. Needless to say, that very ticket fetches the bumper prize, putting Manickam in a quandary.

Ananya plays Manickam's wife, Sumathi, while Bharathiraja turns up as the old man. Nassar also plays a lottery ticket seller. The supporting cast also includes Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, and Ilavarasu, among others.

Director Nanda Periyasamy has also written the script for the film, which has music by Vishal Chandrashekhar. Fans of Tamil family dramas can add Thiru Manickam to their weekend watchlist.

Other Tamil films on OTT

Meanwhile, the much-talked-about Viduthalai Part 2 made its OTT premiere on Prime Video earlier this week. Vijay Sethupathi and Soori play the lead roles in Vetrimaaran’s film, which is the sequel to Viduthalai Part 1. The first part is available for streaming on ZEE5.
