Review:
The new episode makes for an interesting watch as it includes many twists, leaving you shocked. The fake dragon Logain, played by Alvaro Morte, is punished by the Amyrlin, the throne at the white tower, currently held by Siuan, who used to be a blue Aes Sedai once. Logain is punished with life imprisonment and despite his efforts to anger Siuan so that she grants him the death sentence, he is left begging for death. Alvaro Morte's performance as a shoddy prisoner is impeccable.
Meanwhile, Perrin and Egwene make it to the white tower and Moiraine learns about Perrin's new power. Moiraine warns Egwene not to let any other Aes Sedai or towners know about it as he would then be hunted. Moiraine manages to heal Mat as well but he may not have been completely fine as the dark has been feeding off him for long.
Liandrin backstabs Moiraine at the court asking for severe punishment against her as she suspects that Moiraine always knew about the powers of Nynaeve. She also later finds out about the four friends from Two Rivers whom Moiraine visited and healed with the help of Yellow Sisters. But Moiraine gets her to shut up by blackmailing her about her connection with a man in Northharbor. Moiraine is punished by Siuan. She exiles her as per her wish and asks her to take an oath that she would not return to the white tower until she asks her to.
The Emond’s Field Five, Moiraine, Lan and Loial meet at the Waygate to kill the dark one. Moiraine says the dragon can kill him when he is weaker before he takes over the earth and wipes out the entire population. However, she says it is not sure what happens to the rest. Without knowing who is the actual dragon and what would happen to the others, they enter the waygate. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as one of them refuses to join the group on their expedition.
One of the main highlights of the episode is its sets. The white tower looks stunning with beautifully detailed and structured pillars, all in white. The courtroom where Siuan gives judgements is a gorgeous expanse and your attention for a moment gets diverted towards it.
Verdict:
The new episode makes for an interesting watch with some shocking revelations. The episode also ends on a cliffhanger, raising many eyebrows.
