Anticipation was high among "My Demon" K-drama fans for the release of Episodes 11 and 12 on December 29 and 30, but an unexpected interruption left fans of Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung disappointed. Those who were just immersing themselves in the romantic storyline between the lead characters were disheartened to learn of the cancellation of the two episodes slated for late December.

"My Demon," which premiered on November 24, 2023, narrates the captivating tale of a contract marriage between the heiress of a conglomerate, Kim Yoo-jung (Do Do-hee), and a demon temporarily bereft of his powers, played by Song Kang (Jeong Gu-won). The latest episode, aired on December 23, unveiled a gripping twist of fate between the lead characters, showcasing the demon regaining his powers, yet challenges persisted.

Despite eager anticipation for the unfolding drama in the last weekend of 2023, the series encountered a postponement. The cancellation of Episodes 11 and 12 was linked to the 2023 SBS Drama Awards and Entertainment Awards.

However, there's good news for fans as the rescheduled release dates are now set for January 5 and 6. Despite this setback, the series has garnered significant popularity, securing the second spot in the non-English category on the OTT platform catering to an international audience.

Interestingly, the 2023 SBS Drama Awards and Entertainment Awards brought additional attention to the drama, with Kim Yoo-jung and Song Kang receiving the Best Couple award. Notably, Song Kang's absence from the event led to his co-star accepting the trophy on his behalf.

About "My Demon"

According to OTT platform Netflix, they described the show as "A pitiless demon becomes powerless after getting entangled with an icy heiress, who may hold the key to his lost abilities — and his heart".

The show is said to have 16 episodes with 10 having already been released. The final episode is to be aired on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
