Who says India can’t make a vaccine within a limited span of time? Busting negative thought processes of the rich countries in the West and Middle East; India, or as people proudly say Bharat today, convincingly created an indigenous Covid-19 vaccine that saved the lives of billions of people globally.

This fact is not hidden from anyone.

What’s new?

Wrapping up various instances on how India battled the peaks of the Covid-19 pandemic is a movie created by renowned filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri – who today dropped the trailer of the highly anticipated drama ‘The Vaccine War’.

The trailer features actors Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, and Raima Sen in pivotal roles. Anupam Kher is seen in the supporting role as well.

The caption of the official trailer read, “Brace yourselves as we present to you India's first-ever Bio-science film, #TheVaccineWar - A True Story directed by two-time National Award-winning filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, featuring an ensemble cast of National Award-winning actors including Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher, Girija Oak, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Sapthami Gowda, and Mohan Kapur who will overwhelm you with their tour-de-force performances. The film is set to release in cinemas on September 28, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Indian Sign Language.”

How is the trailer?

Soon after this trailer dropped on YouTube today, it began trending on almost all social media handles. On YouTube, one internet user wrote, “The story of untold heroes of the pandemic: OUR SCIENTISTS. Big Salute. A tribute to animals who were sacrificed for the sake of humanity. Hope we can stop animal cruelty for our own interests. Hats off to Vivek sir!”

Another YouTube user said, “After the immense success of The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri delivers another masterpiece. Goosebumps, guaranteed!”

About Vivek Agnihotri

In 2022, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri held the prestigious position of being a board member of India's Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and was entrusted as a cultural representative of Indian Cinema at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

Agnihotri embarked on his directorial journey with the crime thriller 'Chocolate' in 2005, followed by several films that didn't significantly advance his career until 'The Tashkent Files' in 2019. This film achieved commercial success and earned him the National Film Award for Best Screenplay - Dialogues. He also crafted and directed 'The Kashmir Files' in 2022, which emerged as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of that year.

In his personal life, he is happily married to actress Pallavi Joshi, and the couple is blessed with two children.
