In September this year, Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial The Vaccine War made headlines for being the first Indian film based on the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on India. This movie was released theatrically and featured Nana Patekar and Pallavi Joshi in key roles. Actor Anupam Kher also made a special appearance in the film. While we know that this movie can no longer be viewed theatrically, moviemakers have given an interesting update about its OTT (or Over-The-Top) release.

In a press statement released by the team of The Vaccine War this morning, it read, “Disney+ Hotstar brings this inspiring story of India’s COVID-19 vaccination The Vaccine War, directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Pallavi Joshi and I am Buddha Productions releases exclusively on the platform on November 24, 2023.”

In a press statement today, director Vivek Agnihotri said, “The Covid-19 pandemic was a tough time for everyone across the globe.
