The official trailer of Season 5 hints at plenty of comedic chaos for the happy family. Regina and Bennie find themselves navigating the awkward world of teenage dating with their kids, while Lucretia and Bennie continue their hilarious rivalry filled with playful jabs and mutual disdain. Meanwhile, Bennie faces the challenges of the modern mechanic world as he tackles fixing electric cars, which he amusingly compares to iPhones on wheels.
Last year, Netflix left fans on a cliffhanger with the last season. The good news is, the makers promise to explain the ending in the upcoming season. You can finally catch up on the latest chaotic moments in the Upshaw family's lives and see how their current storylines unfold.
The upcoming season promises to be another rollercoaster ride for the labour-class black family in Indianapolis. They will be juggling between new jobs, pursuing ambitious dreams, facing health challenges, and encountering unexpected surprises. But through it all, their persisting love for each other will serve as the anchor that keeps them grounded.
According to a few reports, Season 5 consists of 6 episodes. Rumours are there that Netflix will begin the production of Season 6 soon, which consists of 10 episodes. Last year Variety revealed that the making went on hiatus due the SAG-AFTRA strike in the US.
