Alanna Panday will star in Amazon Prime Video’s The Tribe, along with Alaviaa Jaaferi, Srushti Porey, Alfia Jafry and other social media influences

After Ananya Panday, her cousin and social media influencer, Alanna Panday, is making her entry into the world of showbiz. Alana stars in Amazon Prime Video’s reality series, The Tribe. Along with her, the series captures the journey of other Indian social media influencers, such as Alaviaa Jaaferi, Srushti Porey, Alfia Jafry, Aryaana Gandhi and Hardik Zaveri, and their lives in Los Angeles.

The Tribe: A reality show about influencers

Amazon Prime Video shared a poster for The Tribe on its official Instagram handle. Describing the series, the makers captioned the post, “Young, unafraid and chasing an epic dream, The Tribe are a group of Indian influencers who have been set up to crack global fame in....Los Angeles! Are they ambitious or asking for trouble?”

The poster features all the cast members of the series, which includes Alanna Panday, Alaviaa Jaaferi, Srushti Porey, Alfia Jafry, Aryaana Gandhi and Hardik Zaveri. They are all posing for the camera, dressed in neutral-coloured clothes.

Alanna shared the same poster on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Coming soon on @primevideo,” while Srushti Porey shared the poster and wrote, “My eyes are shut but it’s k.”

The Tribe is a Dharmatic Entertainment project

The Tribe is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Aneesha Baig under Dharmatic Entertainment. It is directed by Omkar Potdar.

Interestingly, Karan Johar’s other OTT project is called Call Me Bae, which stars Alanna’s cousin, Ananya Panday.  Dharmatic Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video are collaborating on several OTT projects, it seems, as another was announced recently. Titled Daring Partners, it centres around the lives of two friends and their journey of building a business in the male-dominated alcohol industry.
