Rajinikanth
The first look of Rajinikanth's Annaatthe was released last month, leaving the star's fans excited. Later, the makers unveiled a motion poster which had the Superstar riding a Bullet bike with his right hand and wielding a sickle in his left hand. It was followed by the first single, sung by the late legendary singer SPB.
The team had then released its remaining three singles and a power-packed teaser, too, which was nothing short of a Rajinikanth show. Now, Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the project, has announced the most awaited update from the movie, along with a new still of the star. The film's trailer will drop on October 27 at 6 pm.
Directed by Siva, Annaatthe features a host of actors, including Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, George Maryan, Abhimanyu Singh, Livingston and Pandiarajan among others. Imman, who received National Award for Best Music Director for Viswasam the other day, has composed music for the film.
Interestingly, Viswasam too, was directed by Siva. Vetri Palanisamy cranks the camera for the project which has editing by Ruben and action choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan. Annaatthe will hit the screens on November 4, along with Vishal-Arya's Enemy.
It's a double delight for Superstar fans as the star received the esteemed Dadasaheb Phalke award at the 67th National Awards event at Delhi on Sunday. He had taken to Twitter to thank his fans, people of Tamil Nadu, all his co-stars, directors, producers, exhibitors and distributors of his films.
In his speech, he had thanked legendary filmmaker K Balachander, his elder brother and his former colleague Raj Bahadur with whom he worked when he was a conductor in Bengaluru a few decades ago.
