The Tearsmith is inspired from Erin Doom’s debut best selling novel - Fabbricante di lacrime. The book was published in 2021, and it topped the charts in 2022. The book has sold half a million copies till now. Erin’s 2nd and 3rd novels, Nel modo in cui cade la neve (The Way the Snow Falls) (2022) and Stigma (2023), are also bestsellers. Doom studied Law and currently resides in Italy. However, The Tearsmith is coming soon on Netflix on April 4, 2024.
The Tearsmith delves into the dark and haunting lives of two teenagers, Nica and Rigel, who find themselves in the care of the same family after enduring the horrors of an abusive orphanage. Despite their damaged pasts and strained relationship, they must forge a new path together, but their destructive love threatens to undo them both.
