The makers of the DC movie Suicide Squad have had all guns blazing to premiere the film on OTT so that the fans do not miss the action-packed drama. Yes, you read it right! The movie will now premiere on Amazon Prime Video. So hold your horses and catch the show this holiday season.
Written and directed by James Gunn, the film stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Sylvester Stallone, Viola Davis and Pete Davidson. The film was a roaring success on its release in theatres in August this year and got rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
The 2021 film is a stand-alone sequel to The Suicide Squad (2016). Prime Video released the trailer of the film today that takes you on an adventurous journey where supervillains are the only hope to save the world. Armed with high-tech weapons, the evil outlaws are set on a mission to the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese where nothing could possibly go wrong.

The DC comics-based film includes Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Idris Elba as Bloodsport, John Cena as Peacemaker, Sylvester Stallone as King Shark, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller in lead roles along with Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Pete Davidson as Blackguard in pivotal roles.
The film seems like a holiday present to the fans from the OTT platform. It releases on Prime Video on Christmas eve in English, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, on December 24, 2021.
