Seth Rogen leads a new upcoming American comedy series called The Studio, on which he serves as writer, director and creator, along with Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez. A teaser for the show came out, which revealed details on when and where to watch the show, which also stars Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders as main characters.

While Bryan Cranston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Dewayne Perkins and Paul Dano have guest roles, a flurry of actors and filmmakers playing themselves, like Charlize Theron, Martin Scorcese, Anthony Mackie, Zac Efron and Ron Howard, are also a part of the project.

The Studio comes to Apple TV+

The 10-episode show, which opens with 2 episodes and then has weekly drops, kicks off on March 26, 2025 and will go on till May 21. The Studio will be available on Apple TV+. According to the official synopsis, Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of embattled Continental Studios. “As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films,” it says. As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes movies, it’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him,” adds the official note.

Matt and his team of executives at Continental Studios must juggle corporate demands with creative ambitions to keep movies alive and relevant, according to the press note. Mwanwhile Rogen’s Platonic had been renewed in December last year, but a premiere date has not been set for the show.

Apple TV+’s upcoming slate includes Severance Season 2,Prime Target, F1, Fly Me to the moon, Blitz and Bread & Roses. Currently second seasons of shows like Shrinking, Silo and Bad Sisters are on.
