The teaser trailer for Netflix's upcoming K-drama, The Sound of Magic is out. The poignant drama is about Yoon Ah-yi, a young woman who was forced to grow up too quickly, and Rieul, a mysterious magician who, despite his age, wants to remain a child. In the series, for a dissatisfied kid facing harsh reality, a magician residing in an abandoned amusement park makes worries vanish and optimism emerges.
First and foremost, Ji Chang Wook plays Lee Eul, a mysterious magician who resides in an abandoned amusement park. He is a mysterious, quirky adult who wishes to remain a child for the rest of his life. "Do you believe in magic?" he always asks before demonstrating his magic abilities.
According to Soompi, Ji Chang Wook described his character as saying that when it comes to Lee Eul, good and evil criteria are useless. The character expresses himself honestly without analyzing the origins or explanations of his feelings.
Yoon Ai is played by Choi Sung Eun, who has a horrible life until she meets Lee Eul and has fantastic adventures. She used to be a normal kid who believed in magic, but after her father's business failed and he vanished into thin air, she was forced to take care of her younger brother on her own. She loses her dreams as a result of her life's difficulties, and all she wants is to grow up swiftly. Then, by coincidence, she meets Lee Eul and gradually regains her lost laughter and purity.
Choi Sung Eun remarked that it was crucial for viewers to relate to her character and sympathise with her feelings. She believes that viewers will recognise themselves in her as she did in her.
Hwang In Yeop takes on the role of Na Il Deung, a young man who has no notion of what he wants in life. He used to be a great student who was solely focused on his schoolwork and lacked social skills, but after learning about the joy of magic with Lee Eul and Yun Ai, he begins to transform.
The Sound of Magic is streaming on Netflix from May 6, 2022.
