Minnie Driver's role in The Serpent Queen

Driver, meanwhile, was in season 2 of The Serpent Queen not long ago. She played the part of Elizabeth I Queen of England. According to the actor, who was asked about her show prep, she studied a handful of books about the character. She already had a positive perception of the character. She has captivated Driver ever since she first heard about her in elementary school. She examined many images, and her lovely book of artefacts from the Tudor and Elizabethan eras certainly helped; seeing the gloves, fans, shoes, and everything else, along with minor details about court life, was illuminating.

According to Driver, the show is extremely clever, funny, and entertaining. It's just incredibly entertaining.

For the uninitiated, The Serpent Queen is a historical drama show in which Samantha Morton plays the role of Catherine de' Medici, Queen of France in the 16th century. Justin Haythe developed the series based on Leonie Frieda's nonfiction 2004 book Catherine de Medici: Renaissance Queen of France.

The French Valois court expects fourteen-year-old Catherine de' Medici to provide riches in dowry and produce heirs, and the novel follows her as she marries in that court. Despite facing numerous obstacles, she managed to rule France as queen for 30 years through a lifetime of deft political manipulation.
