Filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar is one of the most talked-about new faces in Hindi cinema ever since his breakthrough with Munjya. The movie’s strong word-of-mouth made it a box office phenomenon, positioning Aditya as a sought-after filmmaker. He now returns with another folklore-inspired story, this time about a treasure hunt. Titled The Secret of the Shiledars the show is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar, with the makers recently unveiling its trailer featuring Rajeev Khandelwal and Sai Tamhankar in lead roles.

Streaming exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar from January 31, 2025, this captivating saga promises to keep viewers hooked.

Produced by Nitin Vaidya under Dashami Creations LLP, with Aditya Sarpotdar as the showrunner and director, the series is based on the acclaimed Marathi novel Pratipashchandra. The Secret of the Shiledars stars Rajeev Khandelwal as the protagonist, leading viewers on a treasure hunt, with Sai Tamhankar, Gaurav Amlani, and Ashish Vidyarthi in prominent roles.

Showrunner and director Aditya Sarpotdar shared, “Being a Maharashtrian, The Secret of the Shiledars is especially close to my heart. The novel Pratipashchandra by Dr. Prakash Koyade has long been a favorite of mine, and collaborating with Disney+ Hotstar and Dashami Creations to adapt this book and create this world on screen has been a pleasure. It’s a thrilling, adventurous journey set in the modern world but steeped in history—a treasure hunt that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat.”
