Netflix's latest docu-series, The Roshans, revolves around the trials and triumphs of Bollywood’s iconic Roshan family — musician Roshan Lal Nagrath, Rajesh, Rakesh, and Hrithik.
The Roshans featuring Roshan Lal Nagrath, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Rajesh Roshan was released on January 17 on Netflix. The documentary has been a hot topic since it was announced in December 2024. It tells the story of the Roshan family's impact on Indian cinema. Days after the release, Anil Kapoor took to his social media account and reviewed The Roshans.
On January 22, Anil Kapoor took to his Instagram Story and shared his review for the docu-series, The Roshans. Showering praise, the veteran actor said that he enjoyed it very much and called the series 'simple, emotional, and so charming.'
He penned, "Just finished watching #TheRoshans on @netflix_in, and I absolutely loved it. The show is simple, emotional, and so charming - it had me glued through all four episodes. From the timeless music of Roshan Saab and Rajesh Roshan to the inspiring journeys of @rakesh_roshan9 and @hrithikroshan, it beautifully captures their legacy."

Directed by Shashi Ranjan and produced with Rakesh Roshan, The Roshans explores the family’s influence on Indian cinema since the 1950s.
It shows us the family’s journey from composer patriarch Roshan Lal Nagrath (known professionally as Roshan), through his sons, actor and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan (the “Krrish” franchise) and composer Rajesh Roshan (“Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai”), and grandson, Bollywood megastar Hrithik Roshan (“War”), exploring their contributions to the Indian film through music, directing and acting.
The Roshans also featured insights from Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sham Kaushal, and others.
