Trisha in The Road
It was announced recently that The Road, starring Trisha in the lead, will hit the screens on October 6. Arun Vaseegaran has directed the movie which stars Mia George, Shabeer, Santhosh Prathap and MS Bhaskar among others essaying pivotal characters.

AAA Cinemaa Private Limited has produced the film which was in the making for quite some time. The project marks Trisha's second outing this year after Ponniyin Selvan 2. Billed as a suspense flick, it revolves around mysterious road accidents that pose a threat to many people.

How Trisha's character Meera sets out to solve the mystery that left her sleepless for several days forms the rest of the story. MS Bhaskar plays a cop while Mia George is seen playing an aide to Trisha's character. Things take a murky turn when the vehicles that meet with accidents go missing.
Sam CS's music is expected to be one of the highlights of the film which has cinematography by KG Venkatesh and editing by AR Shivaraj. Phoenix Prabhu has helmed action scenes for the project which has art direction by Shiva Yadhav and sound design by Sync Cinema.
Female-centric movie for Trisha after Raangi
The Road is Trisha's female-centric film after Raangi which was released almost a year ago. Paramapadham Vilayattu, Mohini and Nayagi were a few other movies of the actress which had her playing the central character.
She will be seen in Leo next which will also be released in October. She has a couple of projects in Tamil and Malayalam coming up next. Earlier today, Trisha took to Twitter to refute rumours surrounding her marriage with a Kerala-based producer.
