Trisha's next, The Road, is all set to drop in theatres worldwide this Friday. The film, helmed by Arun Vaseegaran, is said to be an action-packed venture where Trisha is set out to seek revenge. Here are five reasons to watch the film.

Trisha in an action-packed avatar
Trisha's character is out to solve a mystery where a series of vehicles meet with an accident at a particular part of the highway. Trisha is out to explore the conspiracy behind the deaths, and in the process, even goes on to unravel a drug cartel. The film is said to be based on real-life incidents. Trisha was seen in a power-packed avatar in Raangi. Though the film opened to mixed reviews, Trisha's performance and heavy-duty action scenes came in for a lot of praise.

A woman protagonist out to seek revenge
The trailer of The Road begins with the Friedrich Nietzsche quote, “In revenge and in love, woman is more barbaric than man is". The film's tagline, 'Revenge in 462 kms', provides a hint at the same. It's not often that you see films that have women protagonists on a mission to seek revenge. So, this film is going to be an exciting one.

Star cast and technical crew
The film has an ensemble star cast which includes Dancing Rose Shabeer Kallarakkal, Santhosh Prathap, Mia George, MS Bhaskar, Vela Ramamoorthy, Vivek Prasanna, Laxmi Priya, Semmalar Annam, Vinoth and Karup​pu Nambiyaar to name a few. Sam CS has scored the music. Cinematography is by KG Venkatesh, and editing is by AR Shivaraj. Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed the stunts.

Trisha back on screen after Ponniyin Selvan
Trisha continues to bask in the success of Mani Ratnam's historical fiction Ponniyin Selvan 2 and has an exciting lineup with Vijay's Leo and Ajith's Vidaa Muyarchi. This will be her first women-centric film amid all the big releases.
