Pushpa 2 postponement ends in massive losses for the makers

But did you know how much the producers, Mythri Movie Makers, lost due to this postponement? Well, one of the sources close to us has revealed to us that close to Rs 40 crore went in vain for the makers. The shooting of the film has been happening at a brisk pace and 50 days of shoot is yet to be wrapped up. So, left with no choice, the makers postponed the film from August 15, 2024, to December 6, 2024.

As the makers have spent heavily on the sets and various schedules of the film, the postponement of the film has resulted in losses. So many character actors' dates went into vain now that the film has been pushed. Three units were working round the clock to wrap up the film but all this could not help the director Sukumar wrap up the film.

Sukumar being blamed for shooting the film at a slow pace

The star director is known to shoot his films for a longer period and he has done the same yet again with Pushpa 2. But all this has fallen on the shoulders of the producers as the interest they need to pay to keep the sets, pay wages to workers, and other miscellaneous expenses have all resulted in losses for the makers.

Though the makers will recover this amount in some other way, for now, things are sour, and they have urged the director to wrap up the film as soon as possible. Allu Arjun is also quite upset with the fact that the sequel is taking a lot of time to get wrapped up.

The word is that he wants to be done with Pushpa and move on to his next film with Trivikram Srinivas. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in this film, which also has Fahadh Faasil and Sunil in key roles. DSP scores the music.
