The Night Manager is the remake of the British series of a British series by the same name, directed by Priyanka Ghose and Sandeep Modi.
It was earlier reported that The Night Manager's second season was in production, and we can now reveal that Disney+ Hotstar is getting set to release the next installment of the Indian version.
The sequel to The Night Manager, starring Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur as the main protagonists Shaan Sengupta and Shelly Rungta, will premiere on the Disney streaming service in India on June 30. The first season of the show, which is based on the John le Carré novel, premiered this year, seven years after the original UK-U.S. series for the BBC and AMC.
This is not a second season because the original season has really been broken into two parts.
Since Disney+ Hotstar requested the adaptation from creators The Ink Factory and Banijay Asia, a full second season has been anticipated. “I keep joking with Simon [Cornwell, le Carre’s son and co-CEO of The Ink Factory] that we’ll make season two before you do and you can use that for the English version,” Modi remarked in a February interview with Deadline.
The Night Manager, starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Saswata Chatterjee, Tillotama Shome, and Shobhita Dhulipala, is currently airing on Disney+ Hotstar. The story, which was written by Sandeep Modi, centres on former Navy officer Shantanu Sengupta (Aditya Roy Kapur), who decides to enter the social circle of notorious arms dealer Shelly Rungta (Anil Kapoor). As a result, he becomes engaged in the dark world of illegal weapons transactions. The spy drama's first four episodes were made available in February, and the remaining ones will premiere in June 30.
