Rukhsar Rehman and Faruk Kabir’s marriage hits rock bottom, couple heads for divorce.
Popular Bollywood actress Rukhsar Rehman, who is best known for her role as Aasma Khan in national-award winning film Uri: The Surgical Strike has decided to part ways with her husband, filmmaker Faruk Kabir.
The actress confirmed the development, as per Viral Bhayani, and said she and her husband are heading for a divorce. She added that they have been living separately since February this year.
Faruk is Rukhsar’s second husband. Prior to marrying Faruk, Rukhsar was married to Asad Ahmed.
Rukhsar and Asad later seperated.
She has a daughter, Aisha Ahmed, with her first husband, Asad Ahmed. Since 2010, she has been married to film director Faruk Kabir.
As per a report published in Hindustan Times, “The two have been dealing with a lot of problems for the past few months and could not resolve the differences amicably despite several discussions. Hence, they have now involved families and are heading for divorce. Their family members are well aware of their decision. In fact, they have officially met to discuss the same.”
As for the reason, the report says, “It’s unknown and there are several speculations around it including infidelity, but it won’t be right to comment on it because nothing is clarified yet.”
The report also mentions that Rukhsar’s daughter is now a grown-up adult and now wishes to pursue a career of her own choice.
Meanwhile, Rukhsar has no projects lined up on the work front. She recently featured in a web series, The Night Manager in which she essayed the role of Mrinal Singh – Jaiveer's wife.
In the world of Hindi television, she featured in Sony Entertainment Television's popular medical drama Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (2011–13) as Dr. Mallika.
