The emotions in the Baby Yoda are unmatched.
Story:
Din Djarin is back with his clan but they have been facing trouble. To what extent will he help them re-build?
Review:
The Mandalorian, this time, begins on the island where the Mandalorians train. It is about the difficulties faced by the younglings.
The Mandalorian Din Djarin (played by Pedro Pascal), as has become a norm, is introduced with Baby Yoda aka Grogu. The introduction sure is adorable
Grogu leaves a mark with his actions. Din’s trust in him, as should be, is one of the best things to happen to the series.
His past is revealed and of course, The Empire and The Stormtroopers are involved. The visuals in those scenes are top notch. It is at the level of the original Star Wars and better. For the first time, thanks to the scene, you see a distraught Grogu and literally feel the pain in his eyes.
Soon, you feel that you re-entered the GoT world with dragons and The Mandalorians on blasters. This marks a very important scene in the episode for obvious reasons.
Bo-Katan (Kate Sackhoff), does not make as much an impact as expected. She, however, plays a major role even this time around.
It is the story that leads you to the episode but that too goes in the same direction. If you are expecting a lot out of this out, turn back.
Verdict:
The Carl Weathers directorial episode is great in terms of visual impact. The story, however, goes on in one direction. There’s not much that you see going, except for Grogu’s back story, which leaves you wondering, has this baby seen too much for his age?
