Prime Video debuted a first peek at the upcoming second season of the smash series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power taking viewers back to Middle-earth. The series' first season was an exceptional global success and one of the top original series for the OTT platform, with over 100 million viewers worldwide and driving more Prime sign-ups during its launch window than any other previous content to date. On Thursday, August 29, 2024, Prime Video will launch Season 2 worldwide.

In his relentless pursuit of absolute power, the malevolent Sauron makes his ascent in the debut teaser trailer, which transports viewers to J.R.R. Tolkien's Second Age and promises an action-packed adventure. The Rings of Power's second season features Sauron's reappearance. As he rebuilds his strength and oversees the development of the Rings of Power, the growing Dark Lord must rely on his own cleverness. Galadriel sends him out without an army or an ally, and these rings will enable him to tie all the peoples of Middle-earth to his evil will.
Season Two expands upon the monumental scope and ambition of Season One by bringing its most cherished and defenceless people face-to-face with an escalating tide of evil, forcing them to determine their role in a world that is teetering on the edge of disaster. There are warring races such as humans and orcs, wizards and Harfoots, elves and dwarves, among others.
The good guys will fight harder than ever to protect the one thing that means most to them: each other—as relationships become strained and kingdoms start to fall apart.
Prime Video will premiere Season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
