The news of popular entrepreneur 'Legend' Saravanan making his acting debut was a big surprise to Tamil movie buffs. Urvashi Rautela was roped in to play the female lead in the project which was titled The Legend. Debutant filmmaker duo JD-Jerry is at the helm of the movie which has been bankrolled by Saravanan himself.

The team had released its first single recently; the song composed by Harris Jayaraj received better response than expected. They have now come up with the trailer of the film. The three-and-a-half minute video is one of the longest trailers released in the history of Kollywood.

It provides a sneak peek into the film's story; it revolves around a talented scientist who sets out to make revolutionary changes in the society. However, a few criminal-minded influential people indulge in illegal activities to make sure that the scientist's plans do not get executed.

Interestingly, the protagonist's name is Saravanan in the film which features a bevy of actors, including the late legendary comedian Vivek. Geethika, Nasser, Prabhu, Mayilsamy, Harish Peradi, Singam Puli, Vijayakumar and Yogi Babu among others essay prominent characters in the movie which has cinematography by Velraj and editing by Ruben.

Raju Sundaram, Brinda and Dinesh have composed dance moves for The Legend which has action scenes choreographed by Anl Arasu. Pattukottai Prabhakar has penned dialogues for the film which has lyrics written by Vairamuthu, Kabilan, Pa Vijay, Snehan and Madhan Karky.

The makers have launched both trailer and audio at a glitzy event which was attended by several popular south actresses. An announcement on the film's release date is expected to happen soon. According to sources, The Legend will hit the screens later this year.
