The film starring Saravanan Arul and Urvashi Rautela is now streaming on Disney + Hotstar
The Legend, starring entrepreneur and actor Saravanan Arul has finally dropped online. The film had hit screens earlier last year in June 2022 and the makers had refrained from an OTT release until today. The makers made a surprise announcement yesterday that The Legend will finally release on the digital platform Disney + Hotstar. The actor shared on his social media handle, "The Wait is over! #Legend streaming in @DisneyPlusHS from Tomorrow #LegendinDisneyHotstar #Tamil #Telugu #Malayalam #Hindi Streaming Time Announcing Tom Morning #Legend #TheLegend #LegendSaravanan @DirJdjerry @Jharrisjayaraj @thinkmusicindia @onlynikil (sic)."
Usually new releases tend to stream on OTT a month after their theatrical release. However, the makers of The Legend decided to put off the OTT premiere for a long time as Saravanan was said to be not interested in any platform. The Legend, directed by JD and Jerry stars Saravanan Arul, Urvashi Rautela, Suman, Geethika, Prabhu, Vivek, Vijayakumar, Yogi Babu, Vamshi Krishna and Nasser. The film also marked the comeback of music composer Harris Jayaraj after a hiatus of four years.
The plot of the Legend revolves around a brilliant scientist played by Saravanan, who returns to his hometown in Tamil Nadu to serve the people here and lift the lives of the underprivileged. However, few vested interests are here to spoil the plan.
In the meantime, Twitter is abuzz with the reviews of the film. A user called Rajmohan wrote, "Decent storyline let downed by a bad Execution Visuals and fight scenes Decent twist and turns Just watch it for our legend Annachi's God level acting (sic)."

While the cinematography of the film is handled by Velraj, editing is by Ruben. The film has dance scenes choreographed by Raju Sundaram, Brinda and Dinesh. Stunt choreographer Anl Arasu has composed the stunt sequences.
The film opened to mixed reviews at the box office and Saravanan Arul was panned for his acting skills and the film's predictable plot. However, Saravanan said that he would continue to act in films.
