Starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, and Darshan Kumar, the movie hit theatres on March 11.
The Kashmir Files directed by Vivek Agnihotrimade a lot of noise since its theatrical release on March 11. The movie is set to release on ZEE5 and the latest report is suggesting its release date.
According to Pinkvilla, the drama is set to start streaming on the streaming platform from May 13. ZEE5 officially revealed yesterday that the movie will stream on the platform, but a release date was not provided. The news was shared with the fans through social media.
Agnihotri has also revealed that he is set to make a third instalment in his series, titled The Delhi Files. The first movie in the series was National Award-winning The Tashkent Files.
“I always had the plans of making The Tashkent Files, The Kashmir Files and The Delhi Files. The emblem of our democracy are three lions and what do they represent? Truth, life and justice. So these three films are my commentary on democracy”, the director told Pinkvilla earlier.
The Kashmir Files stars Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi among others. The Kashmir Files, which is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir insurgency, received mixed reviews but did well at the box office.
“When you realise that the film is attempting to show everything, you wish they had spent time on making you feel that loss, that pain of perhaps one or a few families. Even well-made documentaries can sucker punch you. This 170-minute long film feels like a hasty cram about a gigantic loss.'' read the movie’s review on OTTplay.
