The Kashmir Files a drama on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandit community, is set to have its release in Israel soon, announced the makers today.

Writer and director Vivek Agnihotri also shared this update via Twitter and wrote that the movie will be made available in Israel due to “huge demand.” Along with the tweet, he shared a video of Israel’s Consul General Kobbi Shoshani inaugurating the movie’s poster in Agnihotri’s office.

Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, and Chinmay Mandlekar star in the movie, which released in Indian cinemas on March 11. Following this, The Kashmir Files received mixed reviews but managed to do well at the box office.

In spite of a limited release in 700 screens, the movie managed to make around Rs 3.55 crore on its opening day. It’s overall box office collection now stands at around Rs ​​337.23 crore.

“The subject is important, and yet you cannot put a finger on why this movie tries too hard to show you the horrors instead of touching your heart,” reads OTTplay’s review of the movie.

Agnihotri has also revealed that he is set to make a third instalment in his series, titled The Delhi Files. The first movie was the National Award-winning The Tashkent Files.

After its long theatrical run, the movie, produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi, and Agnihotri, is set to have its world digital premiere soon on ZEE5. Reports suggest that the release date will be May 13, but the makers are yet to make an official announcement.
