The Kashmir Files will cross Rs. 200 crore mark but can it make it to Rs. 300 crores?
Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files has been a tremendous success at the Box Office but its magic might be fading and the same was seen in the dipping Box Office collections of the film on second Tuesday. However, the movie has nothing to worry about since it beat its toughest competitions – Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey – before seeing the dip. Moreso, it is only normal for The Kashmir Files Box Office collections to drop after working so well for nearly two weeks at a stretch.
Despite the drop, The Kashmir Files actually minted Rs. 10 crores nett at the Box Office, according to Box Office India. The movie has now minted Rs. 190.14 crores in total.
Here’s the Box Office collection of The Kashmir Files in detail:
First week – Rs. 96.14 crores
Friday – Rs. 19.75 crores
Saturday – Rs. 25 crores
Sunday – Rs. 26.50 crores
Monday – Rs. 12.50 crores
Tuesday – Rs. 10.25 crores
Week two (5 days) – Rs. 85 crores
Total – 190.14 crores
The Kashmir Files is expected to cross Rs. 200 crore mark on Wednesday and thus, beat Sooryavanshi’s Box Office collections. For the uninitiated, Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar’s collaboration film is by far the highest-grossing film post the pandemic.
While The Kashmir Files was expected to touch Rs. 300 crores at the Box Office, after seeing the drop in its collection, that now appears unlikely. Nonetheless, The Kashmir Files is a blockbuster. Made on a budget of approximately Rs. 10 crores, the movie is on its way to make history by crossing Rs. 200 crore mark and more.
The Kashmir Files is also going to face tough competition from SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which releases on March 25. The film’s Box Office collection before Friday will determine where The Kashmir Files is headed – back in the race or out of screens.
