Reports have it, the makers are keen on roping in Allu Arjun as the lead actor in the film.
The film The Immortal Ashwatthama starring Vicky Kaushal, was already on everyone's radar before Aditya Dhar even said that it would be released in 2020. Unfortunately, the ambitious science fiction spectacular has not yet begun filming. It was also recently rumoured that the actor would no longer be starring in the film and that Telugu superstar Allu Arjun would replace him. Despite the difficulties, the filmmaker has no plans to abandon his pet project.
Pre-production for The Immortal Ashwatthama has begun, according to production designer Saini S. Johray. He told Midday that they had spent the previous five months getting ready. He has 35 designers working for him.
Production designers and art directors worked together to build the film's environment. This is no simple task, as Aditya's version of the story of Ashwatthama, a major figure in the Mahabharata, contains equal parts myth and science fiction. Everything in this kind of film needs to work together visually. To that end, they must coordinate aesthetic elements such as hair, makeup, wardrobe, special effects, and artwork.
Because of the importance of visual effects, Aditya has been working behind the scenes to perfect the film's technical features. Saini said the director is a delight to work with. He is a man of very clear desires. They can create a bow or arrow, and he already has an idea of the type of carving it will have and the material it will be made of. Like Avatar (2009) was for Hollywood, it will be a groundbreaking film in its genre for the Hindi film industry.
They have decided as a team not to go into it too quickly. Saini claims that a great deal of study is being conducted on the topic, and the team hopes to have the masterpiece out by the end of the year.
