Thalapathy Vijay is set to step into politics after wrapping up his film commitments. The actor is currently busy with the shooting of The Greatest Of All Time, the upcoming Venkat Prabhu directorial.

The Greatest Of All Time, the highly anticipated upcoming action thriller marks Thalapathy Vijay’s first onscreen collaboration with director Venkat Prabhu. The shoot of the movie began in the last quarter of 2023 and has garnered a lot of attention thanks to its promising posters.The most recent update from the film is that The GOAT cast and crew are planning to wrap up the entire filming by the end of April 2024.

The GOAT team to wrap up the shoot in April 2024?

If the latest reports are to be believed, the cast and crew members of The Greatest Of All Time recently wrapped up the Pondicherry schedule of the much-awaited film. For the uninitiated, the makers have shot large portions featuring leading lady Sneha and senior actor Mohan in Pondicherry. As per recent updates, over 50% of the shoot for the film has already been wrapped up. The makers resumed the shoot with a small schedule in Chennai today (February 9, 2024).

However, the Chennai shooting will be wrapped up in a couple of days, after which the team will head to a foreign location for the next schedule. As reported earlier, the next schedule is expected to begin in Sri Lanka in a few days, as planned earlier. The makers are also planning an extensive shooting schedule in Istanbul after wrapping up the Sri Lanka schedule. So, the team plans on completing the entire shoot of the film by the end of April 2024.

The GOAT to be released on Vijay's 50th birthday?

As you may know, Thalapathy Vijay is set to play a double role as a 50-year-old and a 19-year-old in The Greatest Of All Time, which is touted to be a sci-fi action thriller. The makers are keen to release the film in June 2024 coinciding with leading man Vijay’s 50th birthday. However, a final decision on the same will be made only after the team wraps up the entire shooting.

Mohan, Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaran, Aravind Akash, Ajmal Ameer, and others are playing key roles in The GOAT. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the songs and the original score. Siddhartha Nuni is the director of photography. The GOAT is bankrolled by the prestigious banner, AGS Productions.
