Thalapathy Vijay, the popular star of Tamil cinema is joining hands with the renowned filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, for his 68th outing in films. The actor-director duo’s ambitious project, which has been titled The Greatest Of All Time, features the celebrated actor in a double role. The GOAT has been garnering the attention of cine-goers with its promising official posters, which were revealed on the special occasion of New Year. Now, the sources close to the Vijay starrer have dropped an exciting update on its release date.
The Greatest Of All Time to release in June?
If the latest reports are to believed, the makers are planning to release the highly anticipated project by mid-2024, mostly in June. The grapevine suggests that the production team is keen to release the film, coinciding with leading man Thalapathy Vijay’s 50th birthday which falls on June 22, 2024, Saturday. In that case, The Greatest Of All Time has all the chances to hit the theatres by the third week of June, mostly on the 20th Thursday or 21st Friday. However, the final decision will made only after The GOAT team wraps up the pending shooting schedules of the film.
The GOAT shoot plans
As per the recent updates, the new schedule of The Greatest Of All Time started rolling in Chennai, this week. The reports suggest that the team is planning to shoot in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, till the end of January 2024. Later, after a short break, the cast and crew members of the film will kickstart the next schedule filming of the Venkat Prabhu directorial in Sri Lanka. Almost a month of filming has been planned for the film in Sri Lanka. More updates on the same are expected to be out very soon.

All about The Greatest Of All Time
Thalapathy Vijay is set to play a double role, as a 50-year-old and a 19-year-old in The Greatest Of All Time, which is touted to be a sci-fi action thriller. Senior actor Mohan is said to be playing the lead antagonist in the film, which stars Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaran, Aravind Akash, Ajmal Ameer, and others appear in supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the songs and original score. Siddhartha Nuni is the director of photography. The GOAT is bankrolled by the prestigious banner, AGS Productions.
