The Greatest Of All Time, the sci-fi action film that stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, is one of the most anticipated Tamil projects of 2024. Hitmaker Venkat Prabhu is directing the movie, which features Vijay in a dual role. The second schedule of shooting for the highly anticipated project is currently progressing in a famous film city in Chennai. Meanwhile, sources close to The Greatest Of All Time have now dropped some exciting updates on the film’s OTT deal.
The GOAT’s OTT rights have been secured by Netflix
As per the latest reports, the OTT rights to The Greatest Of All Time have been sold for a record price. According to sources close to the project, OTT giant Netflix has bagged the digital streaming rights to the Thalapathy Vijay starrer. However, both the makers of The GOAT and the streaming giant have not reacted to these reports yet. The Venkat Prabhu directorial is expected to have its OTT release exactly a month after its theatrical release, just like the recent outings of leading man Vijay.
The Greatest Of All Time overseas rights are sold
Interestingly, the reports also suggest that the overseas rights of the Thalapathy Vijay starrer are also sold. As per the latest updates, the overseas rights of the movie were bagged by the popular banner Phars Films for a large amount. In that case, it is safe to assume that the makers of The GOAT already have a release date on their minds, as the reports suggested earlier.
The Greatest Of All Time release date update
As reported earlier, the makers of The Greatest Of All Time are keen to release the highly anticipated movie by the second or third week of June 2024. For the uninitiated, Thalapathy Vijay is turning 50 on June 22, 2024. The GOAT team is reportedly planning to release their highly anticipated project coinciding with Vijay’s 50th birthday celebrations, which are being planned on a massive scale.
Now, the recent updates suggest that the team has decided to release the film on June 13 or June 20, 2024. However, the official release date will be confirmed only after the cast and crew members wrap up the entire filming of the project. If things go as planned, the release date and OTT platform of The Greatest Of All Time will be revealed very soon, along with the official teaser of the film.
