Produced by Aditya Chopra, The Great Indian Family is premiering on November 17 on Amazon Prime Video. This family drama features Bollywood’s talented actor Vicky Kaushal and the gorgeous former Miss World Manushi Chillar in the lead roles.

Plot/Storyline and Cast

Produced by the acclaimed producer of the Indian entertainment industry, Aditya Chopra – The Great Indian Family as the name reflects, revolves around an Indian goofy family, called Tripathis. Vicky Kaushal portrays a pious Hindu boy Ved Vyas Tripathi aka Bhajan Kumar hailing from a small town, Balrampur.

Being brought up in a religious family, Ved is a proud believer of Hinduism. His world turns upside down as he faces the moral dilemma and inner conflict after learning his roots are different than what he believed through his whole life.

It’s fascinating to watch if his faith will falter as he deals with the crisis of faith along with the family. This journey of faith, identity-crisis, and family unfolds the old premise with a new twist.

The stellar supporting cast also includes Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Bhuvan Arora, and Alka Amin in notable roles.

The Great Indian Family, which was theatrically released on September 22, marked Manuchi Chillar’s second film in her acting career. She had debuted with another Yash Raj Film called Samrat Prithviraj opposite Akshay Kumar.
